A. H. Davis, 1868-1935, writer of humorous sketches and novels under the pseudonym Steele Rudd, worked for the Queensland Public Service from 1886-1902. His father, Thomas Davis, was a selector at Emu Creek, Queensland. From the description of Papers [manuscript]. (Libraries Australia).
